The South Suburban Chamber celebrates
The Y (South Shore Branch)
as the Featured Member for August.

 

 

  

The South Shore YMCA has been a member of the South Suburban Chamber for many years and has benefitted tremendously during that time from relationships we have developed. In addition to making business contacts that have helped our operations, we have also found that being a non-profit organization, the Chamber business community has been supportive of our fundraising efforts. Local businesses have contributed items that can be used in raffles and auctions to help us raise money or we have been able to develop relationships like the one we are currently working on with Toppers, while other businesses want to support our mission through a direct contribution. Either way, the business community has been supportive in helping us serve the community in a very effective way.

 

The Y is about changing lives for the better.
We view participation in our programs and services as a means to a greater end. Therefore, through our rebranding effort, we want to help our communities learn more about our work so we can help our communities learn and grow.

The Y is a nonprofit like no other.
That’s because in 10,000 neighborhoods across the nation,
we have the presence and partnerships to not just promise,
but deliver, positive change.
